Several neocon writers have called for regime change in Iran (see War and Piece; also see see here and here and here). With Iraq teetering at the abyss of civil war, this seems somewhat foolhardy. But perhaps these writers think that another invasion will distract us from the debacle created by their nonsensical plans for world domination. ...
As I have noted in previous posts, Iran is a nation with significant democratic elements that wish more dialog than just outside conniving by the US. Instead, they require engagement with the Iranian government, which itself has groups that are open both to reform and to moderating the hard line towards the US and the west.
Several articles from people with more expertise in international affairs than I have propose a similar picture of how to deal with Iran.
