Senate Unanimously (Yes That's Right Unanimously) Condemns Iran

... It's like deja vu all over again. I guess when troops hit the ground and tens of thousands of them are dying there and in Iraq, ... then the Democrats will bellyache how they were lied to again... pussies ...

The Manila Times reports:

The US Senate on Friday unanimously passed a resolution condemning Iran for its nuclear program and backing efforts to report it to the UN Security Council. [my emphasis]

The resolution, approved by a voice vote, cites Iran's "many failures ... to comply faithfully with its nuclear non-proliferations obligations."

It "strongly urges" the International Atomic Energy Agency at its special meeting on Thursday to refer Iran to the UN Security Council over suspicions it is secretly trying to develop atomic bombs.

I seriously wonder if the World's policeman has te economic muscle that could withstand another political blunder by its administration. The widening trade deficit and domestic apprehension is causing enough bitterness against the Iraq fiasco. A whole country has been ravaged, its national sovereignty trampled, its pride violated, and now the civilized bafoons want to ride roughshode over the opinion of a whole nation that thinks differently. Iran could be the critical factor that could drastically change the state of affairs on the international scene. I'm waiting to find out what the current US administration will do. swallow the carefully thrown bait or let rationality and sense kick in!?
