The author of this posting makes some very critical and meaningful distinctions. These clarify why the President's wiretapping program is illegal. Unfortunately, the way the issue is framed in the press and by the Bush administration, it seems as though we have to choose liberty or stopping terrorists through wiretapping. This author argues forcefully that that is a false dilemma.
