In a story that takes us inside the "blood sport" currently practised at the Pentagon, this article on shutting critics up comes via Defense Tech (again).
Former USAF Chief of Staff Gen. John Jumper says he generally supported the outcomes of Rumsfeld's decisions. However, he acknowledged there were unconventional methods used. "This is a blood sport [and not] for the faint of heart," Jumper said in a recent interview. "You can't be intimidated by those that think they have higher SAT scores than you." Perspectives often clash because the Pentagon's top political appointees are generally officials with academic and business backgrounds and lack extensive experience in war.
