Iraq, the Syllogism

The following syllogism was sent by email to Jack Cafferty at CNN on Dec. 16, 2005. He read it during his usual five minute stint at the end of each hour of the "Situation Room."

And Norma in Richmond, California: "Bush's abrogation of the Bill of Rights makes perfect sense in the war on terror. 1) Since terrorists hate us for our freedoms, 2) if we get rid of our freedoms, 3) they won't hate us anymore. 4) We'll all be the same, and peace will then prevail. See how simple it is?"
How's that for logic? I believe that Norma in Richmond, California has given the most logical and consistent statement of this war than anyone inside govt. or in the press has ever given.

Now, where's the fallacy?
